For his efforts, Suderley was named the Empire 8 Player of the Year and led the Hawks to the Empire 8 Tournament. Against Alfred in the semifinals, he scored 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting and was 6-of-8 from the foul line as Hartwick won 90-85. He followed that performance with 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead 'Wick to a 67-62 win and the E8 championship. He was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Suderley is Hartwick's all-time scorer and rebounder. On the NCAA Division III active leader list, he is third in points (2,034) and fourth in rebounds (920). He is second in field goals made (753), fourth in field goals attempted (1,469), fourth in double-double games (42), and ninth in free throws made (430).
Hartwick went 18-10 this past season and 10-4 in the Empire 8. The Hawks won their second Empire 8 Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the past four years.
