Stevens Shoots 322 In Regular Season Finale

LANCASTER, Pa. (April 14, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team finished in eleventh place with a 322 Monday in the Franklin and Marshall Invitational.
 
The one-day event featured 16 teams, and was played on the par 71 Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster, Pa.

Freshman Frank Szucs led the Ducks with a six-over 77 which was good for nineteenth place, while junior Justin Niemeier and senior Richie Szeliga finished tied for second with a 79. The score was Niemeier's third lowest of the season.
 
Junior Cameron Hill and senior Charlie Johnston rounded-out the Stevens scoring with an 87 and 94 respectively.
 
The Franklin and Marshall College "blue" team finished first with a 291 (+7), while Cabrini College took second with a 295. Individually, Cabrini's Dan Gentilucci and Franklin and Marshall's Robert Svigals finished tied for first with a 70 (-1), with Stevenson College's Al El Kordi-Hubbard taking third with a 71 (E).
 
With the regular-season in the rear-view, the Ducks will shift their focus to this weekend's Empire 8 Championships in Hershey, Pa. The two-day tournament will take place on April 18 and 19, and tee-times are still yet to be determined.
