WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ithaca College junior Sharon Li won tournament medalist honors in record-setting fashion with a two-day total of 141 at the Northeast Elite Invitational hosted by Williams College. Li scored a 4-under-par 68 in the opening round and backed that up with a 73 in Sunday's second round. Ithaca placed third in the team standings with a score of 634 behind second-ranked Methodist (620) and fourth-ranked Williams (622). Ithaca is ranked seventh in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association Division III poll.

Li's two-day total of 141 and tournament finish of 3-under-par were school records. Li previously held the mark with rounds of 70-73--143 at the Martin/Wallace Invitational at Cortland in the 2012-13 season. It was Li's fifth individual tournament title of the 2013-14 season. She also placed second in another tournament after tying for first, but falling in a playoff. Li won the individual medalist honors by seven strokes over the second-place finisher.

Ithaca's other contributing scores in its second-round team total of 318 were led by Lisa Calcasola with a career-best score of 79. Calcasola finished tied for 15th in the individual standings. Kelsey Baker backed up an opening-round 80 with an 81 in the second round and a tie for 10th overall. Kimberley Wong scored 85 on Sunday for a two-day total of 167 and a 20th-place finish. Amanda Failla was 30th in the tournament with a 181.

Ithaca will find out if it is selected for the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships when the NCAA releases the tournament field on May 5.
