Men's Tennis Tournament Tiebreakers
With one regular season conference match left between Alfred and Nazareth tomorrow (April 29), here is the post-season tournament picture.

If Alfred beats Nazareth there will be a three-way tie between AU, EC and NC at 3-4. They all also split 1-1 head-to-head-to-head. Next criteria is points earned in the head-or-head-to-head play. Current count is as follows:
Alfred: 2-7
Elmira: 10-8
Nazareth: 6-3
If Naz beats Alfred they earn the 4th spot.
If Alfred beats Naz the three-way point tie-break comes into play. Alfred must win 9-0 to assure earning the final spot to surpass Elmira. If AU wins 8-1, they will tie the point tie-break with AU - this eliminates Nazareth and then we compare AU/EC head-to-head. EC beat AU so EC gets the final berth.
If AU wins 7-2, 6-3 or worse, Elmira gets the nod.
If AU wins 5-4, Elmira and Naz tie at 10-8 - this eliminates Alfred (7-11) and we compare EC and Naz head-to-head. Naz beat EC so Naz gets the final berth.
The tournament will take place May 3-4 on the campus of Nazareth College (SJFC will serve as host) while the rain location will be the Mendon Racquet Club. More information on the tournament will be made available once the seedings are finalized.
