The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team pushed its winning streak to three matches on Friday after dropping visiting Daemen College, 7-2, at Mendon Racquet Club.  With the win, the Cardinals improve to 3-7 overall, while the Wildcats slip to 5-12 on the year.

Fisher last posted three-straight wins nearly one year ago after beating Utica, Elmira and Alfred in succession.

Sheldon Mitchell earned a straight-set win at No. 2 singles while Nathaniel Ligon surrendered only two games at No. 3 singles en route to a 6-2, 6-0 win.  Jacob Zarzycki, Adam Moran and Kyle Stich also won their respective singles matches, giving Fisher five points in one-on-one play.

Ligon later paired with Zarzycki for a win at No. 2 doubles, 8-5, and Moran teamed up with Daniel Tedesco for Fisher's seventh point at No. 3 doubles.

The Cardinals will try to make it four wins in a row on Sunday when they host a 1 p.m. match against Empire 8 foe, Ithaca College.
