Muhlenberg & Ramapo Invitational Results
ALFRED
The Alfred University men's outdoor track and field competed Saturday at the Muhlenberg College Invitational. There were no team scores, but several AU athletes turned in solid performances.
Senior
Nolan Rummel (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) took seventh in the 800-meter run (1:59.52) and
Ian Bishop (Bronx, NY/Bronxwood Prep) was seventh in the shot put (12.88 meters) to lead the Saxons.
Other top performers for AU were: freshman
Jeffrey Nunez (Wurtsboro, NY/Ellenville), 10th in the hammer throw (37.40 meters) and 11th in the discus (36.66 meters); junior
Sean Locker (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post West), 11th in the javelin (43.59 meters); freshman
Kevin Dixon (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:32.23); and senior
Eddie Potter (Lansing, NY/Lansing), 10th in the 800-meter run (1:59.91).
ITHACA
The Ithaca College men's track & field team opened its 2014 outdoor campaign Saturday at the Muhlenberg Invitational. The Bombers won two events and met four ECAC qualifiers. Ithaca had 14 top-five finishes.
Junior
Rashaad Barrett raced to an ECAC-qualifying finish of 10.94 to place fourth in the 100-meter dash. He also ran the opening leg of the Bombers' fourth-place 4x100 relay that crossed the finish line with an ECAC-good time of 43.59. Sophomore

Junior
Matt Femia clocked a 50.06 finish in the 400 dash to place third and meet the ECAC qualifier.
In his first collegiate track & field meet, sophomore
Andrew Brandt placed third in the high jump with an ECAC-qualifying clear of 1.93 meters. Senior
Brendan Wilkins placed fifth in the event with a clear of 1.88 meters.
The Bombers had three finish in the top five in the 1,500 and 800 runs. Freshman
Sean Phillipswon the 1,500 in 4:10.31. Sophomore
Sawyer Hitchcock followed in fourth in 4:11.29 and classmate
Stephen Gomez ran fifth in 4:13.73.
Juniors
Dennis Ryan and
Mason Mann ran one-two in the 800. Ryan finished in 1:56.64 and Mann clocked in at 1:56.96. Sophomore
Larkin Bohanan was fourth in 1:57.46.

Brennan Edmonds placed third with a time of 3:27.41.

De'Marquis Graves placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.39 meters and freshman
Tyler Denn-Thiele finished fifth in the pole vault with a clear of 3.50 meters.
STEVENS
The Stevens Institute of Technology men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Ramapo College Invitational on Saturday in Mahwah, N.J. The men placed eighth overall out of 18 teams with 48 points.
On the men's side, senior
Joel Oquendo (North Bergen, N.J.) topped the field in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.29 meters (132 feet, 2 inches).
Junior
Robert Pinto (Staten Island, N.Y.) took second in the high jump with a cleared height of 1.95 meters (6' 4.75").
The 4x800-meter relay team placed fourth overall in a time of 8:15.09. The relay team consisted of freshman
Nicholas Zickgraf (Kenilworth, N.J.), junior
Andrew Parlette(Clarksville, Md.), freshman
Drew Knipfer (St. Joseph, Ill.) and freshman
Michael John (Nottingham, N.J.).
Zickgraf also ran a personal best time of 4:06.70 in the 1,500-meter race and placed sixth overall.
