 Three Empire 8 teams took part in the Hershey Cup Golf Tournament on Sunday as 15 teams descended upon Hershey, PA to play the nearly 7100 yard Hershey Country Club.
 
After 18 holes of play, the No. 5 Cardinals sit in fifth place with a combined score of 310 (+26).  Fisher sits nine strokes behind the current leader, Franklin and Marshall, with 18 holes still to play.
 
Joe Feeney continued his fine play, finishing the round in a tie for eighth place after shooting an opening round 75 (+4).  Thad Wier sits in two-way tie for 17th place with a first-round score of 77 (+6), while Ryan McGinnis finished the day in 19th place with a 78 (+7).

Susquehanna was tied for tenth in the team standings with a score of 324.

Elmira shot an overall score of 339 on day one. Evan Clarke '15 led the Soaring Eagles with an overall score of an 81 to place tied for 45th overall.
 
 Checking in next for the Purple and Gold was Brandon Payne '17 who carded an 85 to place tied for 68th. Niall O'Connor '15 followed with an 86 to place for 72nd overall while Jarryd ten Vaanholt '16 notched in an 87 to finish tied for 74th. Brian Demo '17 posted a 98 to finish 81st after the first day.
 
 
The teams will finish the second day of the Hershey Cup tomorrow, April 7th.
