Mens track and field athletes competed Friday on the final day of the 2014 Division III ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Technology (RPI).  
 
ITHACA
Ithaca's 4x100-meter relay team of junior Rashaad Barrett, sophomore Aaron Matthias and juniors Kevin Davis and Tyler Curtis clocked a 41.85 finish in the race to claim gold. The time was just one hundredth of a second shy of Ithaca's school record.
 
Sophomore Andrew Brandt cleared a career-high 2.01 meters in the high jump to place fourth.
 
Ithaca's 4x800 relay of freshman Brendan Davis, sophomore Larkin Bohanan and juniors Mason Mann and Dennis Ryan placed eighth with a 7:59.21 finish.


NAZARETH
Senior Jake Lafaver finished 17th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.55.


ST. JOHN FISHER
Sophomore Devin Cornelius finished second overall in the decathlon, scoring a College-record 6,493 points, which should qualify him for the NCAA Division III Championship.  He set personal records in the 110 hurdles, discus and the 1,500 to complete the record-setting performance.

Junior Eric Riley earned four more points for the Cardinals, clearing 2.01 meters in the high jump, finishing tied for fourth place overall.


STEVENS
Junior Robert Pinto cleared 1.96 meters in the high jump to place ninth and posted a mark of 6.64 meters in the long jump which was 17th overall.

Senior Louis Stengel, juniors Andrew Parlette and Matthew Bombard and freshman Nicholas Zickgraf combined to run a time of 8:01.64 in the 4x800 to place ninth.

UTICA
Sophomore Rob Tutein led the men on day two as he tied for fourth in the high jump and collected four team points with a leap of 2.01 meters.

Other notables for Utica include:  On the men's side, senior Shane Ruffing placed 11th in the 400 meter hurdles with a program-best time of 55.59, missing the eighth spot and points by just over one half second (.56).  Junior Corey Zlatniski placed 23rd in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:16.67.

Freshmen thrower Sam Bonk finished 17th, out of 23 hurlers, in the shot put.  Bonk registered a throw of 14.24 meters.
