Stevens  Institute of Technology sophomore Gladys Njoku competed in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday in Delaware, Ohio and placed 10th overall. This year's championships are hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Selby Stadium/George Gauthier Track.

Njoku cleared 1.67 meters (5 feet, 5.75 inches) in the field of 21 and barely missed All-American status. A cleared height of 1.70 meters would have vaulted Njoku into the event's top eight competitors.

She met the 1.67-meter standard on her second attempt but was unsuccessful on all three tries at 1.70 meters.

Alfred University junior Miasia Hillman wrapped up one of the most successful seasons in AU track and field history Friday evening at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Hillman, running in the prelimaries of the 100-meter dash, finished her heat in 12.16 seconds, the 16th-fastest time in the three heats. Only the top eight runners advance to Saturday afternoon's championship round.
