Randall and Dardir Receive Academic All-America Recognition

AUSTIN, Texas – Ithaca College graduate student Jenn Randall and Stevens Institute of Tecnology junior Amira Dardir have been named to the NCAA Division III Academic All-America Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Team. Both third-team selections, Randall and Dardir earned First-Team All-District nods in May.

A two-time track & field all-American, Randall ran to cross country all-America honors at the 2013 NCAA Championships with a 12th-place finish out of 280 runners. She clocked a time of 21:37.70 on the six-kilometer course. Randall placed fourth overall at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships tallying all-region recognition. Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, Randall had a team-best 6K time of 21:24.60. She holds a 3.73 grade-point average in Physical Therapy.

Dardir competed in all three sports seasons at Stevens and holds a 3.86 grade-point average in Chemical Engineering. She particularly shined this year at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, where she was an All-American in the high jump with a sixth place finish at 1.69 meters. Dardir played a crucial role in the team's 10th place finish at nationals, which is a program best showing. At the ECAC Outdoor Championships, Dardir placed third overall in the heptathlon with 3,927 points. She is also the school record holder in the pentathlon (3,070) and heptathlon (4,172).
