13 Athletes and Seven Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Accolades

USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams | Women's Release | Men's Release

Thirteen Empire 8 track and field student-athletes, five women's teams and two men's team have earned USTFCCCA All-Academic nods.

There were 416 individuals honored from 126 institutions on the women's side, while 100 institutions on the men's side honored 276 individuals. 

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either of the following athletic standards: a student-athlete must have competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.

The Empire 8 had five of 158 women's teams awarded academic accolades, while two of the 93 men's teams honored were from the E8. Teams need a 3.10 GPA or better to tally the all-academic status.
