Ithaca Ranked Fifth In NSCAA Pre-Season Poll
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's soccer team ranked fifth in the recently released
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) pre-season poll. Ithaca is the only nationally-ranked team in the Empire 8.
The Bombers finished last year with an overall record of 19-3-0, tying a program record for wins in a season. Ithaca also reached the NCAA quarterfinals for the fifth time in seven seasons, and earned the Empire 8 title for the ninth time since joining the conference in 1999. The Bombers' 2013 campaign ended with a 1-0 loss to William Smith, the eventual national champion.
Ithaca opens the season on Aug. 29 with a contest against Kean in the Cougar Classic in Union, N.J.
