UTICA 7, Wooster 3
Senior Hannah Mackey had four goals and the Utica College field hockey team defeated the College of Wooster 7-3 Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.  Mackey now has seven goals in the past two games and has compiled 55 in her career. 
 
Despite falling down 1-0 within the first five minutes of the game, the Pioneers rebounded, scoring three goals in five minutes to take a 3-1 lead into half time.  The second half was also controlled by the Pioneers as they outscored the Fighting Scots 4-2 in the final 35 minutes. 
 
Seniors Louise Steele-Norton, Chasity Eckert, and Becki Vivacqua also scored for Utica and junior Kells Casey made two saves in the win.  UC outshot Wooster 16-5 on the afternoon. 


WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON 7, Oberlin 0
Sophomore Amanda Steffey recorded her second career hat trick to help lead the Presidents to a 7-0 win at Oberlin in non-conference action.

With the win, the Washington & Jefferson field hockey team improves to 2-0 on the season. The Yeowomen drop their season-opener to fall to 0-1.

Freshman Caroline Kallos started the scoring for W&J just 2:44 into the contest. With just under 12 minutes elapsed, sophomore Lauren Brown scored the first of her two goals in the game, stretching the lead to 2-0.

At the 19:12-mark, Steffey notched her first goal of the afternoon with an assist going to senior Miren Zubillaga. Junior Natalie Paul then made it 4-0 at the 27:45-mark off an assist by Kallos. Steffey closed the first-half scoring with 55 seconds to play in the period when she dribbled through the defense to score, sending W&J into the break leading, 5-0.

Through the first 35 minutes, the Presidents held a dominating 18-0 advantage on shots and attempted five penalty corners, compared to none for the hosts.

Brown scored on a long shot just 4:24 into the second half to put W&J ahead 6-0 and Steffey capped the scoring with her hat trick goal in the 66th minute after she beat the keeper one-on-one.

For the game, Washington & Jefferson led 28-2 on shots and 9-3 on penalty corners. Steffey and Kallos each led with eight shots on the day, while Brown added five shots.

Freshman Karlie Baran earned the win in goal to improve to 2-0, playing the first half and not facing a shot. Junior Morgan Brozena played the second half between the pipes, stopping the only shot on goal she faced.
