STEVENS 7, Brooklyn College 0
Sophomore Raba Nassif tallied a career-high four goals in a 7-0 non-conference victory for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team over Brooklyn College on Sunday. The seven goals scored are the most Stevens has posted in a match since the Ducks notched 8-0 and 10-0 wins in 2007.

Nassif needed just 13:18 to pick up a hat trick and added her fourth marker in the 64th minute. Her first goal came in the ninth minute unassisted from 25 yards out, the second off a through ball from sophomore Kristen Goncalves in the 12th minute and her third came off another feed from Goncalves at the 13:18 point in the first half.

Goncalves then put the Ducks up 4-0 on a free kick from nearly 30 yards out to account for her four-point afternoon in the 55th minute.

In the 64th minute, Nassif took a quick pass on a run down the middle of the field from freshman Kaitlin Goncalves and raced past the Brooklyn defense for Stevens' fifth goal on the contest. Nassif's eight-point performance on four goals left her just a goal short and three points shy of the school single-game records.

Stevens tacked on two more in the 77th and 80th minutes as freshman Sandi Komar and sophomore Rachel Chavkin registered their first collegiate goals. Senior Ann Heine assisted on the Komar goal and freshman Sammy Mount assisted on Chavkin's score.

Freshman Lindsey Mahnken earned the first win of her collegiate career and made one save in 90 minutes of action.

Stevens finished the contest with 38 shots and held the Bulldogs to just two. The Ducks also attempted 11 corners to zero for Brooklyn.

UTICA 3, Keuka 2 (OT)
Senior Maddisen Melley netted two goals, including the game-winner in the 107th minute to lift The Utica College women's Soccer team  to a 3-2 double-overtime victory over Keuka College Sunday at the Erinn K Brozman Cup hosted by Hartwick College.  With the win, the Pioneers improve to 2-0 on the season.

Freshman Keri Berkowitz got things going at 15:44 of the first half as she beat Keuka keeper, Kenna Kosinski, for her first career goal.  Classmate Amanda Pawlikowski assisted on Berkowitz's tally.  The Wolfpack evened the score 15 minutes later as Nicole Brown put in a pass from Jordan Fredell to send the teams into halftime with the score tied 1-1.

Keuka went ahead at 61:23, but it was short lived, as Melley headed home a pass from Berkowitz just one minute later.  Neither team could break the deadlock until Melley's late-game heroics  at 106:09 lifted UC to victory.  Junior Krystine Alvear assisted on the game-winning tally.

Junior Kelly Heimerle had a game-high 11 saves in the win, while Kosinski made four saves for Keuka.

HARTWICK 4, Lycoming 2
Lycoming rallied to tie the score with under eight minutes left, but Hartwick answered 29 ticks later en route to a 4-2 victory over the Warriors on the second day of competition of the 11th Annual Erinn K. Brozman Cup Sunday at Elmore Field.

With the win, the Hawks finish the competition tied with Utica with a 2-0 record but take the cup on goal differential. It is 'Wick's third title after claiming the 2009 and 2012 cups.

Sophomore Allyson Daniels scored two goals to lead the Hawks. Freshman Maddy Paul added a goal and an assist and Kylie Thayer contributed two assists.

Lycoming would gain the early lead as Olivia Mendler chipped a long shot up and over Hartwick keeper Alley Maurer at the 6:03 mark to hand the Warriors a one-goal edge.

As time wore on in the half, it looked like it might not be the Hawks' day as Ashley Connolly ripped a shot off the post, Cami Cleavelandwas stopped on a breakaway, and the Hawks had a goal off a corner kick disallowed.

A two-minute, 50-second span deep into the first half however, changed the game as the Hawks took the lead. Paul finished off a scramble in front of the Warrior goal following a corner at 39:45 to tie the score. Daniels then fired home off a Thayer feed at 42:35 and Hartwick was in front heading into halftime.

The Hawks controlled virtually the entire second half until a foul in the Hartwick box allowed Lycoming's Meghenn Jackson to tie the game from the penalty spot with 7:20 to go.

'Wick wasted little time getting into the Warrior end. Following a clear attempt, freshman Casey Boucher collected the ball at the top of the circle and drilled a shot to the far post past Lycoming goalkeeper Joelle Winey to retake the advantage, 3-2.

As the Warriors pressed for the tying goal, they left the back exposed and the Hawks took advantage as Paul fed a through ball to Daniels who broke in alone with Winey. Daniels made a move around the Warrior keeper and tucked the ball into an empty net to put any chance for another Lycoming comeback to rest.

Hartwick ended the match with a 21-7 edge in shots, including a 10-3 margin in the second half. Maurer and Annie Millar combined to make three saves in the Hartwick goal. Maurer stopped one shot in the opening 45 minutes. Millar saved two shots in the second half. Winey made five stops for the visitors.

The Hawks, who are now under the tutelage of first-year head coach Brian Gordon, open the season with two wins for only the second time in the last 19 seasons.

New England College 3, ALFRED 0
The Alfred University Saxons' women's soccer team (0-1-1, 0-0 Empire 8) fell 3-0 to New England College in the 2014 Potsdam College Cup Final Sunday afternoon.

Freshman goalie Sammy Jo Shanahan showed her ability between the pipes again on Sunday afternoon racking up nine saves, but the NEC Pilgrims still managed to put three goals in the net.  Katie Hatch scored the first two goals for NEC in the first half of Sunday's game putting the Pilgrims on top 2-0.

The Saxons would come out in the second half with some solid defense as they only allowed four shots on goal.  The final goal for NEC came in the 81st minute when Kaylee Thrasher received a pass from Rachel Thomas at the top of the box and sent the ball off the hands of Shanahan into the back of the net sealing the 2014 Potsdam College Cup for the Pilgrims.

Shanahan ended the tournament with 23 saves in two games earning her a spot on the All-Tournament team along with freshman teammate Lauren Wyant.
