Baughman and Regan Take First
ALFRED
Sophomore
Mary Baughman took first place to lead the Alfred University women's cross country team to a third-place finish Saturday at the William Smith College Invitational.
Baughman completed the six-kilometer course in 24:09.90 to lead a field from eight schools.
Freshman
Lindsay Piraino was fourth in 25:19.90 and freshman
Teresa Fallon was 34
th (28:04.40).
STEVENS
The Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country program finished sixth overall out of 14 teams at the RPI Invitational at Saratoga Springs State Park on Saturday morning.
Stevens finished with 181 points on the 5K course, which involved 201 total runners. St. Lawrence University won the meet, while Williams College came in second and New York University took third.
Junior
Amy Regan bested the field with a time of 17:07 and beat the next closest runner by 13 seconds.
Classmate
Kate Moyer clocked a time of 18:31 to finish in 27th in points (30th overall), while sophomore
Kathleen Kalbian was close behind in 31st (34th) in a time of 18:37.
ITHACA
The Bombers placed fifth of 14 teams on Saturday at the Saratoga Invitational, hosted by RPI. The Bombers recorded 164 points on the five-kilometer course.
Junior
Hannah Wright led the Bombers with a time of 18:30. She ranked 25
th overall out of 201 runners.
Anastasia Diamond recorded a personal-best time of 18:36 for Ithaca, placing 30
th overall as a senior runner.
Fellow junior
Anna Fay passed through the finish line next in 32
nd place with a time of 18:40.
Alexa Rick and
Allison Bartkowiak placed 38
th and 39
th overall with times of 18:46 and 18:47.
ST. JOHN FISHER
The Cardinals placed 11th overall at the 2014 Saratoga Invitational, held Saratoga Spa State Park.
The duo of
Sammy Van Gee and
Katlin Shippy led the way for Fisher, finishing at 18:58 and 18:59, respectively (42nd and 43rd places).
Junior
Sarah Coon was 71st overall at 19:38, while
Nicole Graziadei was right behind her at 19:41 (73rd place).
Sarah Harrington finished in 87th place at 20:50 as well.
ELMIRA
The Elmira College women's cross country team finished in sixth place out of eight teams at the Hobart Invitational.
Hannah Lundgren'18 followed up last week's third place finish at the Alfred State Invitational with a 21st place finish this week to lead the Soaring Eagles.
Lundgren ran the 6k race in 26:54.4, coming in just three seconds after Megan Mohney from William Smith College for 20th place. Next for EC were a handful of runners that were just minutes off of Lundgren's time. Those runners were Renee Henck '18, who finished in 29:03.8,
Shannon Dole '17, who crossed the finish line with a time of 29:10.0,
Julia Ashey'17, who finished the 6k in 29:48.4, and
Hannah Gaston '18, who completed her run in 30:11.0.
HARTWICK
