STEVENS 4, Brockport 0
Five players recorded points, and the Stevens Institute of Technology defense picked up its first shutout of the season as the Ducks earned a 4-0 non-conference field hockey win at Brockport Sunday afternoon.

With the win, Stevens evens its record at 3-3 (0-1 Empire 8). Brockport drops to 1-5 on the season in defeat.

Stevens dominated from start-to-finish, ending the contest with a heavy advantage on the scoreboard and on the stat sheet. The Ducks were plus-17 in shots (29-12), putting 19 on goal, and held a better-than-two-to-one advantage in penalty corners (11-5).

All four Stevens goals were assisted, with four different players notching tallies. The first came from sophomore Nolie Prouty and was assisted by sophomore Maggie Kulpa after a scramble in front of the cage at 8:29. It was Prouty's second score of the year and the first helper for Kulpa.

The Ducks pushed their lead to three with goals separated by just 90 seconds late in the first half (25:04, 26:34). Junior Dailyn Brook put home her fourth goal of the year thanks to a Prouty assist, and freshman Victoria Alvarez put home her team-high sixth of the year when Silvestri found her inside the circle.

Stevens' final goal of the game came with 6:29 on the clock when senior Jillian Fiebel received a pass from Silvestri after a Brook insert from a penalty corner. It was the first goal of the season for the Duck veteran.

The Ducks received goals from four different players, with all four tallies earning assists as well. Sophomore goalie Emily Stukenborg recorded seven saves in goal to earn the shutout and her third win of the season.

NAZARETH 6, Morrisville 2
Nazareth outscored host Morrisville 6-2 in a non-conference field hockey game on Sunday thanks to a trio of juniors. Catherine Willard amassed three goals, classmate Cathy Stahl scored two goals, and Gabrielle DiSanto added one goal. Sophomore Lauren Devine made five saves for the Golden Flyers to earn the victory.

With the victory, Nazareth improves to 5-2 overall. With the loss, the Mustangs fall to 1-3 overall.

The Golden Flyers scored four times in the opening 23:18 to take control of Sunday's game. Stahl and Willard each scored a pair of goals, with Stahl's first goal coming just 5:03 into the contest. Stahl tipped in the rebound from her initial shot, which was blocked. About four minutes later, the Mustangs temporarily tied the game with a goal from Kaitlyn O'Connell. O'Connell's goal was also off a rebound. The score was only tied for 2:27 as Willard reclaimed the Nazareth lead. Willard scored off a penalty corner opportunity after receiving a pass from freshman Kelsi Barnholt. Sophomore Kailee Coleman initiated the penalty corner.

The Golden Flyers' next two goals followed penalty corner opportunities. Roughly five minutes after Willard's goal, Stahl converted another penalty corner to score her second goal. Coleman's penalty corner pass set up a shot from the top of the circle. At the 23:18 mark, Willard received the penalty corner pass from Coleman and connected on a drive from the top of the circle.

Just over eight minutes into the second half, Willard recorded her third score of the game after receiving a pass from junior Maggie Muzio. Muzzio's pass found Willard in the center of the circle. After a goal by Morrisville's Lauren Kellum, DiSanto stretched Nazareth's lead back to four goals with an unassisted score following a scramble. DiSanto's goal came with 12:17 remaining in regulation.

Nazareth finished with overwhelming advantages in shots (37-14) and penalty corners (15-5). Meaghan Mack played the first 57:43 in Mustangs' net and allowed six goals and made 13 saves. Kaitlyn Baker relieved Mack in the final 12:17 and was credited with one save.

ST. JOHN FISHER 2, RPI 1
Elizabeth Cusack scored with eight second remaining in regulation to lift Fisher 2-1 over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Sunday at Growney Stadium.   The win marks the first-ever for Fisher over RPI who had one the previous three contests.

With the win Fisher improves to 4-2 overall while RPI falls to 1-3.

After scoring the first goal of the game Cusack was able to notch the game-winning goal in the closing seconds off a rebound from an initial shot by Emily Markarian.  The freshman attacker led a rush from midfield and fired a shot from the right side that squirted out to Cusack who rattled it home for the win.  Cusack now has six goals on the year, including two game-winners.

Fisher was granted that opportunity in large part due to an excellent performance in net from goalkeeper Danielle Famolaro who made seven saves on the day, including three in the final seven minutes.

The Engineers were able to break through just once on 23 shots, with their goal coming at the 60 minute mark.

Cusack got things going for Fisher just 3:51 into the contest taking it from the left side into the middle and blasting a shot into the far post.
