Ducks Win Seventh In A Row; Pioneers Downed at Home

The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over Drew University Wednesday afternoon.
With the win, Stevens moves its record to 7-0 while Drew drops to 2-1.

Alexis Connor went to 2-0 on the season with an 8-2 win at No. 1 over senior Deanna Williams and junior Katie Marshall. At second doubles, senior

Katrina Guido kept their undefeated season alive with an 8-1 win while at No. 3, sophomore
Lily Bruenjes and junior
Julia Guignard won 8-4.
Stevens stayed on the offensive once singles started. Bourque won in straight sets over Williams at No. 1 with Stewart taking the 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 Guignard and Gudio took home wins at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively, while Connor won at No. 5 6-2, 6-1, and Bruenjes won at No. 6 6-0, 6-1.
For Guido and Stewart, the wins were the team leading seventh of the season while Guignard and Bruenjes each moved their records over .500.
Sage 8, UTICA 1 Box Score
The Utica College women's tennis team lost its fifth straight match Wednesday to non-conference foe The Sage Colleges, 8-1, at the Utica College Tennis Courts. The Pioneers were led by Gabrielle Morrealle who tallied UC's lone point of the afternoon.
Utica falls to 0-5 overall on the season and returns to action this weekend with back-to-back matches in Rochester, NY. The Pioneers will square off against Empire 8 rivals St. John Fisher and Nazareth Colleges. UC will face Fisher on Saturday at the Mendon Racquet Club before heading across town on Sunday to challenge Naz. Both matches are set to start at 1 p.m.
