Brockport defeats Alfred

BROCKPORT, NY -- The Alfred University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to host Brockport State Friday evening.
 
The Saxons lost the first two sets (25-7, 25-16), took the third (25-23) then dropped the fourth (25-3) to fall to 3-10 on the season.
 
Freshman Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) had five kills and freshman Aubrey Totsline (Rochester, NY/Fairport) added 13 assists to lead AU. Senior Taylor Kiernan (Pastchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) and freshman Heather D'Andrea (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) had 10 and eight digs, respectively.
 
AU plays a pair of matches Saturday (Sept. 20) at the Nazareth College-hosted Empire 8 Conference tri-match. The Saxons play Nazareth at 11 a.m. and Utica at 1:30 p.m.
