Fisher Leads E8 Championship After Fall Portion

TEAM RESULTS

The St. John Fisher College men's golf team shot a 306 on Sunday, four strokes better than the day before, and now lead by 13 strokes after two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Championship held at Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, NY.  The Cardinals stand at 616 and lead Moravian College by 13 strokes and third place Scranton University and Stevens Institute of Technolgy by 18 strokes.  

Elmira College is nine strokes behind Scranton and Stevens in fourth place at 643, followed by Susquehanna University (644), Nazareth College (694), and Utica College (712).

Stevens' Cameron Hill carded a 74 on Sunday for a two round score of 150 and currently holds a two-stroke lead over teammate Frank Szucs (76-76-152) and Fisher's Chris Blyth (77-75-152). 

Fisher's Devin Solar is in sole possession of fourth place (153) and Scranton's Eric Meyer is tied for fifth place at 154 with Susquehanna's Dan Wilson. 

The final two rounds of the Empire 8 Championship will be played in April at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa and the winning team will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
