Meyer, Jimenez Lead Scranton To Wins Over Wilkes, King's

LEHMAN, Pa. – Seniors Erik Meyer (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) and Josh Jimenez (Apalachin, N.Y./Seton Central Catholic) both broke 80 to lead The University of Scranton men's golf team to victories over Wilkes and King's on Tuesday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.

The Royals finished with a four-player team total of 323 on the par-72, 6,680-yard layout. Meyer led Scranton with a five-over 77, which tied for low score of the day, and Jimenez was one shot behind him at 78.

Senior Grant Gulick (Binghamton, N.Y./Johnson City) finished with an 83 and freshman Michael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) added an 85 to round out the Royals' top four scores.

Scranton returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 25, when it travels to Tunkhannock, Pa. to take on Baptist Bible College at Stonehedge Golf Club.
