ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Visiting Penn State Behrend won close matches at first and fourth singles Monday as the Lions edged Nazareth in a non-conference men's tennis match, 5-4.

Junior Scott Trobert won a three-set at second singles, but junior Tyler Williams lost in three sets at first singles and sophomore Christian Bryant also lost in three sets at #4. Williams won the first set 6-2 against the Lions' Yanique Apgar, the dropped the nextg two sets 6-4, 6-2. Then at fourth singles Bryant split the first two sets with David Buiter, dropping the first 6-3 before taking the second 6-0. Buiter won the decisive third set 6-4.

Nazareth also got straight-set singles wins from junior Brian Rosiek at #5 and from freshman Louis Rogers at #6.

Nazareth claimed one point in doubles behind the third tandem of Bryant and Trobert, who won 8-0.
