Junior Carmine Gerrity-Gemei (Ossining, NY/Iona Preparatory) and sophomoreSteven Lambrinakos (Stamford, Conn./Trinity Catholic) each shot an 81 to lead the Royals. Scranton, now 10-4, also received an 85 from freshman Michael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer), an 87 from sophomore Tyler Huggins (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area), and a 94 from senior Jim Pichiarello (Dunmore, Pa.). Michael Thomas of Marywood shot a one-over-par 72 to capture medalist honors. Teammate Nicholas Johnson was third with a 77 and Frank Major and Gaetano Zarra each shot 85 for the Pacers.. Matt Lewis of Keystone finished second with a 75 and Race Sick and Sam Steward each carded rounds of 84. The Royals will return to action this Monday, September 29, at the Anthracite Golf Championships to be held at the Wyoming Valley Country Club in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. Scranton is defending champion.
