Ithaca XC Teams Maintain Regional Rankings
NEW ORLEANS, La. –The Ithaca College men's and women's cross country teams earned spots in the
week two regional rankings by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Both teams are the only Empire 8 squads to receive recognition in the Atlantic Region.
The men's team now ranks sixth in the Atlantic region, after sitting seventh in the week one poll. The Bombers placed third out of 24 teams this past Saturday at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational.
The women's squad, who ranked sixth in the USTFCCCA week one regional poll, now sits eighth in the week two rankings. The Bombers earned a fifth place finish out of 22 teams on Saturday at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational.
After a bye week, both the men's and women's teams will return to competition on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Geneseo Invitational.
