Hartwick Races at Williams; Nazareth Competes at Roberts
HARTWICK Results
Hartwick competed at the Williams College Purple Valley Classic in Williamstown, MA at Mt. Greylock High School on Saturday.
In the women's 6K, the Hawks finished in front of teams from St. Joseph's, Lyndon State, and Wheelock.
Senior
Monica Prager (Salisbury Mills, NY/Washingtonville) was the Hawks' top finisher. She ended the race in 26:47.8. Freshman
Elsa Bock (Shelburne, VT/Champlain Valley Union) was next for 'Wick with a time of 27:26.2.
Tricia Phillips (Williamson, NY/Williamson) ran the 6K in 28:18.5.
Hartwick cross country next competes in two weeks. The Hawks compete at the Hamilton College Invitational on October 11.
NAZARETH Results
Several members of the women's cross country team were in action Saturday at the Harry Anderson Invitational, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan. In the women's 5-kilometer race, junior
Robin Wagner was the Golden Flyers' top finisher in 52nd-place and a time of 20:09.
Following Wagner, freshman
Andrea Larnard was 149th with a time of 21:35, and senior
Kassandra Lathrop placed 216th with a time of 23:21.
Cornell claimed the women's title with a total team score of only 32 points. Roberts Wesleyan was second with 52 points, and Laurentian was third with 57 points. With at least five racers needed for a team score, Nazareth's women's team did not have an overall score for Saturday's meet.
