NAZARETH -
Men's results
Nazareth was in action on Saturday when the Golden Flyers traveled to Hamilton for the Hamilton Short Course Invitational. Freshman
Kevin Witt was the top Golden Flyer in the men's 6-kilometer race with a 13th-place finish.
Hamilton won the men's meet with a score of 21, followed by Siena with 34 team points, and Nazareth with 83.
Witt's time was 20:24.9 to lead the Golden Flyers. Patrick Neureuter was the second Nazareth finisher for the men, placing 21st with a time of 21:36.2. Sophomore

Matt Battaglia was 25th (21:55.5), and fellow sophomore
Thomas Lannon was 26th (22:17.3). Freshman
Kristopher Newell (23:39.4) and sophomore
Ethan Osborne (24:24) rounded out the Golden Flyers' runners in 28th and 29th place, respectively.
UTICA -
Results
The Utica College men's cross country team defended its title for the third consecutive year Saturday at the Steven A. Warde Invitational hosted by SUNY Cobleskill. Five Pioneers took the top five spots en route to the convincing victory. Junior
Kyle Cairns (Midland Park, NJ/Midland ) took home first place with a clock of 29:12 on the five mile course.
Sophomore
Josh Lee (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) trailed Cairns by .33 for a second place finish coming in with a watch of 29:45 while classmate
Erik Winberg (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) took third with a time of 30:41. Junior
Corey Zlatniski (Mattituck, NY/Mattituck) and senior
Jamie McNamara (Gloversville, NY/Mayfield) rounded out the Pioneer top five in fourth and fifth place. Zlatniski navigated the course with a clock of 30:56 for fourth place .12 seconds ahead of McNamara who recorded a time of 30:56, in fifth.

Brian Attas (Hopatcong, NJ/Hopatcong) and
Samuel Adarkwa (Bronx, NY/Cardinal Hayes) along with sophomore
Jason Ortiz (Elmsford, NY/Alexander Hamilton) placed in the top 20 for UC with Attas placing 14
th, Adarkwa in 18
th and Ortiz in 19
th.
ST. JOHN FISHER -
FULL RESULTS
The men's cross country team ran to a seventh place finish overall at the Don Masterson Invitational in Oswego, N.Y. on Saturday.
James Felice led the men's squad in his second collegiate race with a 29th-place finish, completing the 7.75-kilometer course in 26:47.1.
Evan Magnussen recorded another notable race, following Felice with a 26:51.4 finish to earn 34th place.
Alex Schmitt, Daniel Cleary and
Luke Dunkelberg rounded out the top-five runners for the Cardinals, who finished with 196 points.
STEVENS -
RESULTS
The Stevens Institute of Technology men's cross country team placed second out of six teams at the Vassar College – Ron Stonitsch Invitational on Saturday.
Stevens totaled 42 points, while SUNY New Paltz won the meet with 30 points. The difference in the 12 points spread came from the top four runners for each squad. New Paltz took first-to-third and sixth, while Stevens slid in fifth, seventh, ninth and 10th positions. Stevens' last three runners closed the scoring gap, finishing 11th, 12th and 14th, compared to 18th, 21st and 24th for New Paltz.
Senior
Thomas Cunningham led the way for the Ducks with a time of 20:24.98, while classmate
Andrew Parlette followed in 20:37.63.
Freshman
Greg Arabagian completed the 6K course as the Ducks' third runner in 20:41.84. Sophomore
Tom Flannery was next in 20:44.87, while sophomore
Nicholas Zickgraf (Kenilworth, N.J.) trailed closely behind in 20:45.28.
Stevens' final two scoring runners, sophomore
Chris Banko and junior
Zach McKeehan, clocked in at 20:45.59 and 21:04.68, respectively.
In all, 81 runners ran in Saturday's meet, which consisted of five NCAA Division III schools, one DI a community college and several unattached competitors.
ITHACA -
Results
The Ithaca College men's cross country team began collegiate competition on Saturday at the Oswego Invitational. The Bombers placed sixth out of 14 teams. Three of Ithaca's sophomore returners recorded career-best times after the 7.75K race.
Junior
Larkin Bohanan ranked first for Ithaca and finished 27
th of 162 competitors with a time of 26:45.5. Bohanan beat his time from the 2013 Oswego Invitational by more than twenty seconds.
Sophomores
Shane Connor,
Brendan Davis and
Chris Gutierrez all logged personal best times. Connor placed 31
st in 26:50.2, while Davis and Gutierrez finished 35
th and 43
rd clocking times of 26:56.5 and 27:13.4.
Senior
Steve Derderian placed 48
th overall in 27:25.2.
