Hawks Rally For Final 23 Points in 43-38 Win Over WConn
DANBURY, CT - Hartwick football, trailing 38-20 in the third quarter, rattled off the game's final 23 points, including the go-ahead touchdown with 35 seconds left to defeat Western Connecticut State on Sunday in a game resumed from last night's lightning-delayed contest.
With under four minutes left and the Colonials driving, the Hawk defense came up with a timely interception to get the football back. The offense then drove 90 yards on 10 plays in the next 3:15 to take the lead.
Quarterback John Garcia threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns while receiver Tanner Williams hauled in 13 catches for 255 yards and three scores.
