Zickgraf, Alvarez Shine at Yale for Stevens Men's Indoor Track and Field 1/11/2015 10:40:18 AM NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 11, 2015) - The Stevens Institute of Technology men's indoor track and field team competed at Yale University to begin the 2015 part of its schedule Saturday. The Ducks were led by seniorKristopher Alvarez and sophomore Nicholas Zickgraf. Alvarez qualified for the ECAC's with a 8.62 in the 60-meter hurdles, placing 12th in the prelims. Sophomore Brian Fratto cracked the top-20 with a 7.24 in the 60, as did Michael John in the 1,000 with a 2:48.49. Senior Tom Cunningham was No. 11 in the 3.000, clocking a 9:01.96, and senior Robert Pinto was 10th in the high-jump-clearance of 1.84 meters. In the shotput, sophomore Dan Jacome and Neil Forrester were 18 and 19, turning in throws of 13.01 and 12.83 meters. Jacome and senior Cory Zegel were 14th and 17th in the weight throw, thanks to tosses of 13.49 and 12.73 meters, respectively. Stevens will return to action at the Gotham Cup January 16, 2015.
