NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 11, 2015) - The Stevens Institute of Technology women's indoor track and field team began the 2015 portion of its schedule Saturday, getting strong performances from junior Gladys Njoku and juniorAmy Regan.

Njoku cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump, winning the event and qualifying for ECAC's in the process. Njoku's jump was the second-highest in all of NCAA Division III and she bested numerous competitors from DI programs such as host Yale, UConn, Fordham, Brown, Quinnipiac and more.

Regan turned in a time of 5:06.75 and placed fourth overall in the mile run. The junior's time qualified her for ECAC's and was less than five ticks off the pace. Regan's 3:04.77 in the 1,000-meter run put her eighth in that event.

Stevens will return to action at the Gotham Cup on January 16.
