Alfred Drops Meet at Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell on the road to non-conference opponent, Le Moyne College on Friday afternoon in dual meet action, 131-99.
Sophomore
Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) continues her dominance in the pool in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle and 500 Yard Freestyle races. She took first in both events in a convincing fashion, besting Kerry Steve in the 500 by almost 25 seconds (5:29.78) and Calee Coleman in the earlier race by almost a minute (11:16.13).
Senior
Chrissy Behr (Surf City, NJ/Southern Regional) also picked up some wins in the 50 Free and 100 Freestyle races. Behr's 100 finish (55.01) was supplemented by the three-four finishing combo from Liz Schiffhauer (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East) (1:00.25) and
Leah Zimmerman (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) (1:00.58).
Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon) (26.07) and Zimmerman also captured team points in the 50 Free to compliment Behr's first place finish (25.31) with second and fifth places, respectively.
Samantha Brown(Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) earned a win in the 200 Fly over the Dolphins' Katelyn Votapka by two 2.02 seconds (2:33.66).
The Saxons will host the Hawks of Hartwick College tomorrow. The meet starts in McLane at 1:00 pm.
