Stevens Falls at TCNJ
RESULTS
EWING, N.J. (January 19, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team took five first place finishes Monday, but dropped the meet to the College of New Jersey 152-110.
The loss evened Stevens' dual match record at 2-2.
Sophomore
William Arnott took first palce in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:57.10, before senior
Alex Xu took third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.08.
Junior
Ravi Sun added to the Ducks points with a first place time of 51.79 in the 100-yard backstroke while freshman David Dugue finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Ducks took first and third in the 200-yard butterfly with senior Prive Hu's top time of 1:58.11 and Arnott's 2:00.86 before junior
Tomasz Wolinski took third in the 50-yard freestyle. Wolinkski also took third in the 100-yard freestyle.
Sun took first for the second time on the afternoon with a 1:53.73 time in the 200-yard backstroke, followed by a second place finish for sophomore
Alex Chen in 200-yard breaststroke.
Freshman
James Betz got himself on the podium with a second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, followed by sophomore
Austen Young's second place, 51:98 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Sun and junior
Joshua Lefeber capped the Ducks individual finished, going first and second respectively in the 200-yard individual medley before freshman
Ethan Gehenio, Duque, Xu, and Wolinkski took second at the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The Ducks will return to the pool on Jan. 31 when they'll travel to Hartwick College.
