Griesemer Wins 3-Meter at Comanzo Invite
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca College hosted the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational
on Sunday at the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion. The women competed against five other teams, participating in the 11-dive format on 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Five divers met the NCAA qualifying standard in 1-meter, while six divers met the qualifying mark in the 3-meter.
Sophomore
Nickie Griesemer highlighted the meet for the women with a first place finish on the 3-meter board. Griesemer's score of 488.05 paced the field of 13, just beating out Fredonia's score of 486.30.
Anna Belson ranked second on the Bombers with a score of 429.30, placing fifth overall.
Brianna Shontz placed sixth with a score of 423.00, giving Ithaca three NCAA qualifying scores.
Griesemer placed second out of 18 entries in 1-meter diving, scoring 446.55. Meghan Bartlett of Fredonia placed first with a score of 502.20. Belson hit her second NCAA qualifier with a score of 424.05, ranking fourth overall.
Katie Hellywasn't far behind, ranking fifth overall with a score of 402.30 to hit the qualifying mark.

Jan. 31, as the Bombers head to Union for a
2 p.m. road meet.
