Regan Bests DI Field At NYC Armory 1/30/2015 11:15:09 PM NEW YORK, N.Y. (January 30, 2015) – Stevens Institute of Technology junior runner Amy Reganplaced first in a field of primarily Division I runners Friday in the 5000m race at the NYC Armory. Regan's 16:40.84 is a new school record and personal best, and is currently the fastest time in Division III this season. The time was also the fifth fastest time in DIII history. "Amy's 5k was an incredible performance," head coach Justin Wood said. "There are so many great athletes that have been a part of Division III, and to think that now she is up there with the best is really exciting." Junior Kate Moyer set a personal best in the 5000m event with a 18:02.40 race, good for 12th in DIII this season. In the field, junior Gladys Njoku cleared 1.69m in the high jump. "I'm really happy with how our athletes competed at this invitational," Wood said. "It's predominately Division I programs, so when we can stand out it's something to be proud of." Senior Amira Dardir and senior Robert Pinto also competed in the high jump.
