Ducks, Bombers Win Meets
Stevens 158.5, Hartwick 92.5
ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team earned a 158.5-92.5 win over Hartwick College Saturday afternoon in Oneonta, N.Y.
With the win, Stevens improves to 3-2 in dual-meets, winning its final two of the season over the Hawks and TCNJ.

Elizabeth Heinbach earned a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:54.05, with sophomore
Danielle Caruso winning the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:58.72.
Rooker and Hoogenboom went one-two in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.82, 1:02.46), with Geyer taking first in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching at 1:11.24. Freshman Katie Prescott was second in the 100-breaststroke.
Heinbach, Jurczyk and McClure swept the top-three spots in the 200-fly, tallying times of 2:14.33, 2:18.17 and 2:18.29, and Lawson and Rutledge went one-two in the 50-free (25.69, 26.29).
Rooker and Lawson went one-two in the 100-free on the back of 55.55 and 55.68 performances, and the rookie Hoogenboom earned a win in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:13.29.
Geyer and Prescott were one-two in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.24, 2:38.44), and Caruso's second win of the day came in the 500-freestyle (5:20.49). McClure earned a win in the 100-fly as Jurczyk and Heinbach followed in second and third to sweep the top-three spots (1:02.04, 1:02.13, 1:02.30).
Stevens swam the final two events in exhibition but the Ducks would have picked up another win in the 400-free relay as Caruso, Rutledge, Rooker and Lawson turned in a 3:46.08.
The Ducks will now turn their attention to the Empire 8 Championships that will run from February 18-21 in Webster, N.Y.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team defeated Union
Saturday afternoon by a score of 173-127 at Alumni Gym Pool.
The Bombers took the top spot in the first event of the day, as the team of
Kylie Bangs,
Meredith Wells,
Christine Zulkosky and
Lauren Cox finished the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:54.52.
Individually, Wells went on to capture one more first place finish, pacing the field with a time of 2:36.24 in the 200-yard breaststroke, while
Miranda Wingfield earned a top spot with a finishing time of 11:04.34 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Sam Reilly and
Grace Ayer also added to the team score with a victory each on the afternoon. Reilly captured the 100-yard breaststroke and Ayer touched first during the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:12.04 and 2:08.62, respectively.
Lake Duffy experienced a pair of solo wins throughout the meet, finishing first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.30 and earning the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a finishing time of 55.00.
Nickie Griesemer swept both diving events for the Bombers, earning a first place finish in the 1-meter (284.70) and the 3-meter dive (315.22).
Ithaca is back in action on Feb. 14, as the Bombers host the Ithaca Invitational.
RIT 157, Nazareth 139
Results
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth's women’s swimming and diving team hosted RIT on Saturday in the final regular season meet of the year. The Tigers won the meet by defeating the Golden Flyers 157-139. Sophomore
Cameron Hess won three events for the Golden Flyers.
With the loss, the women now stand at 4-5 overall on the season.
Hess's victories came in the 200-meter freestyle (2:16.93), 400-meter free (4:44.52), and 800-meter free (9:41.49). In the 800, junior
Kimberly Pedrotti (9:56.93) followed Hess and took second, while senior
Brittany Friedrich (10:01.8) claimed third. In the 200, sophomore
Lillian Masters finished second to Hess with a time of 2:18.46 and was third in the 400-meter event with a time of 4:52.51.
Sophomore
Bridget Geary won a pair of freestyle races as she took first in the 50-meter (:29.04) and 100-meter (1:03.92) events. In the 200-meter breaststroke, Pedrotti and Friedrich finished back-to-back, separated by only a hundredth of a second. Pedrotti touched the wall at 2:35.35 to edge Friedrich. Pedrotti also added a third-place finish in the 200-meter butterfly (2:45.71). Sophomore
Elizabeth Carro had second-place finishes in the 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter IM. Carro's time in the backstroke was 1:13.91, and she finished the IM with a time of 2:38.18. Freshman
Erika Holland was third in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 1:14.41.
The Golden Flyers' 200-meter medley relay and 400-meter freestyle relay teams finished second and third in both events. In the 200 medley, Carro, Geary, Holland and sophomore
Shannon O'Malley finished with a time of 2:12.33. In third-place, senior McLeana Schwab teamed with Pedrotti, sophomore Melissa Wikinson, and junior
Renee Stromski to finish in 2:18.09. In the 400-meter free relay, Geary, Masters, freshman
Annabel O'Connor, and Hess recorded a time of 4:20.15. In third-place, O'Malley, Schwab,
Emma Dorschel, and Stromski had a time of 4:24.61.
Nazareth is in action again February 18th-21st when the Golden Flyers host the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center.
St. Lawrence 104, Utica 70
UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica College women’s swim and dive teams lost Saturday to St. Lawrence University in its final home match of the regular season at the UC Pool. The Pioneers were guided by freshman Phoebe King who tallied eight points.
The women were downed, 104-70. The team falls to 5-7 overall on the season and returns to the pool next Saturday at the Clarkson University Golden Knights. The match is set to start at 1 p.m. at the Fuller Pool on Clarkson's campus.
On the women’s side, King took second place in both of her individual events as she clocked a time of 58.05 in the 100 yard freestyle and a 2:06.59 in the 200 yard free. Classmate Grace Gallentine collected four points in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.89.
