The Ithaca College football team finds itself back in the D3football.com top 25 poll following an impressive and dominant road win over Hartwick College Saturday afternoon. The Bombers are also receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Poll

SUNY Cortland and Utica College are among teams receiving votes in both polls.

For the fourth time in six weeks, the Bombers (4-1, 2-1 Empire 8) find themselves ranked in the D3Football.com weekly poll, coming in at No. 24 following a 47-19 victory at Hartwick.

Ithaca returns to action hosting Brockport at 1 p.m. Oct. 17 on Community Appreciation Day at Butterfield Stadium.

Cortland dropped out of the top 25 after suffering its first loss of the season.  Buffalo State outscored Cortland 20-0 in the second half and the Bengals handed the nationally 18th-ranked Red Dragons a 29-21 loss.

Cortland will host Alfred University next Saturday at 1 p.m. in a league matchup.

For the second week in a row, Utica captured a thrilling overtime victory, this time by way of a 22-19 defeat of host Brockport.  Senior Thomas Woodburn  hit a 34-year field goal with one second left in regulation to send the game to overtime and then hit a 35-yard field goal on the Pioneers' first possession of overtime to lift UC to victory.

The Pioneers remain on the road next Saturday as they travel to St. John Fisher College.  Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
