Ithaca and Stevens Volleyball Appear in First Regional Ranking

In the first NCAA Division III Volleyball Regional Rankings of the 2015 season, the Ithaca College and Stevens Institute of Technology volleyball programs found a spot at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively, in the New York Region. 

The Bombers own a 23-3 overall record with six regular season matches left on their schedule before the Empire 8 Conference Championship in early November. Ithaca concludes its conference slate this Saturday, Oct. 24, against Hartwick and St. John Fisher at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

Stevens has eight regular season matches left on its schedule and is currently 13-11 overall after dropping a pair of matches last week. The Ducks take on a trio of Empire 8 Conference opponents this weekend. On Friday, Stevens will travel to Hartwick College for a single match at 7 p.m, before traveling to Elmira College for a tri-match also featuring Houghton College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Clarkson, ranked 17th nationally, heads the New York region with an overall mark of 20-6. Richard Stockton, out of the NJAC, is second with a record of 23-2, while Union ranks third at 22-4. SUNY Brockport sits in fourth with a near unblemished mark of 25-1.
