Gromen Reaches 1,000 Assist Mark on the Season

The Ithaca College volleyball team ran its winning streak to six straight matches with a sweep of Wells College on Tuesday, Oct. 27 in Ben Light Gymnasium. Tonight's match was also the home finale for Ithaca, who improved its record to 26-3 on the season. Set scores were 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

Sophomore Kayla Gromen needed just 14 assists heading into tonight's match to eclipse 1,000 assists on the season, and met that mark on the Bombers' first kill of the second set. Gromen finished the match with 34 assists to go along with nine digs, three kills and a service ace.

Gromen is the first setter to reach 1,000-plus assists in a season since 2009.
