Three Corvias ECAC Athletes of the Week
Three Empire 8 student-athletes were honored as the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Athletes of the Week in the region for their performances during the week of Oct. 19-25, 2015.
Women’s Soccer – Upstate
Offensive Player of the Week
Zisi Komar – Stevens University, Fr., Forward, San Diego, Calif.
Komar helped lead the No. 16 Stevens women's soccer team to a 2-0 week, posting four goals and an assist in the two wins. Against No. 7 The College of New Jersey, Komar scored the first two goals of the contest en route to a 4-0 win, giving TCNJ its first loss of the season. In a conference match against Utica, Komar tallied two goals and an assist on five shots.

Defensive Player of the Week
Allison Dobles – Nazareth College, Jr., Goalie Spencerport, N.Y.
Dobles recorded two shutouts in conference play, including making a career-high 18 saves in a 0-0 tie against Ithaca on Saturday. Dobles made six saves in a 3-0 win over St. John Fisher on Wednesday.
Men’s Cross Country – Upstate
Rookie of the Week
Tyler Wright – Utica College, Fr., Little Falls, N.Y.
Wright ran a personal best at the NYSCTC Championships with a time of 25:48.2, placing fifth out of 96 participants in the 8k race.
