Ithaca Men's Lacrosse Walks to End Alzheimer's
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's lacrosse team recently took part in the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer's on September 27 in support of the Alzheimer's Association and its quest to further the care, support and research needed to eventually eradicate this terrible disease.
Head coach
Jeff Long's squad worked alongside event organizers to ensure that all participants had an enjoyable experience while providing direction and encouragement.
"Our team takes great pride in supporting the Walk to End Alzheimers," said Long, who is entering his 29th season at the helm. "This disease affects so many loved ones, directly and indirectly, and we can only hope our efforts help to put an end to it. It's an all-in community fund raising event that IC Men's Lacrosse gladly honors with its service each fall."
The event, which exceeded its fundraising goal after raising nearly $42,000, drew hundreds of local participants all of whom have been affected by Alzheimer's in some form.
