Following the Empire 8 Women’s Volleyball Tournament and the naming of the Most Valuable Player, the entire 2015 All-tournament team has been announced.
 
Ithaca – Kayla Gromen (MVP), Joelle Goldstein and Amanda Cerruti
Stevens – Sydni Horner and Christina Sciarra
Nazareth – Cady Messmer
Elmira – Natalie Scheider
 
Gromen was named the women's volleyball tournament's most valuable player after dishing out 25 assists with two kills and seven digs in the championship match. In the semifinal, Gromen registered 25 assists, three kills and eight digs. It is the first time since 2010 that Ithaca has won the E8 title and the 30 wins on the season ties the most victories for the program since 2007.
 
Goldstein paced the offense in the championship match with 11 kills on 20 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage to go along with nine digs and two service aces. In the semifinal she added six kills, 14 digs, four aces and three blocks.
 
Cerruti totaled nine kills and nine blocks in the Empire 8 Conference Championship. Cerruti hit .333 in Ithaca's semifinal win over Nazareth with three kills and four blocks, and followed with six kills (.300) and five blocks in the championship over Stevens. She also put down the final kill of the match.
 
Horner collected 13 digs and two service aces in the semifinal match against Elmira to help propel Stevens to the E8 final for the fourth straight year. In the championship match she finished with 10 digs.
 
Sciarra hit .333 in the semifinal with eight kills on 18 attempts. She also added three digs and two assists. In the title match, Sciarra led the Ducks with nine kills and totaled six digs.
 
Messmer posted a match-high 14 kills against just three hitting errors for a .314 percentage for the Golden Flyers in the semifinals against Ithaca. She also had two service aces and 13 digs.
 
Scheider finished with four kills, seven digs and one service ace in her first post-season match. Despite the loss, the 2015 season was a major turnaround from 2014. The Soaring Eagles rebounded from a seven-win season to finish with an 18-14 overall record and return to the Empire 8 Tournament for the first time since 2013.
