ITHACA, N.Y. (November 6, 2015) – Three different players scored goals for the second-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team Friday in a 3-1, Empire 8 Conference Championship semifinal win over third-seeded Houghton College.

Stevens moved to 14-3-2 with the win, and will now battle top-seeded Ithaca College in tomorrow's final. Houghton's season ended at 9-7-2 with the loss.

Junior Patrick Masur, junior Jay Mikula, and senior Joe Cellitti each scored a goal for the Ducks, while as a team, Stevens outshot Houghton 22-2.

Stevens also dominated in corner kicks, tallying seven to Houghton's one.

The Ducks jumped out to the quick advantage with Masur's goal in the second minute of play off an assist from sophomore Tommy Dorsay. The goal was the third of the season and first in nearly a month for Masur, while the assist was Dorsay's sixth.

Stevens continued to pepper the goal with shots over the next 25 minutes while holding Houghton to just one during the stretch, however Houghton's Nic Loes was able to break through with the equalizer in the 36th.

The 1-1 score held through the remainder of the half and deep into the second before Cellitti moved the Ducks in front with a header in the 73rd. Off a loose ball, Cellitti was just able to get the header off before colliding with Houghton's keeper in the box.

The Ducks tacked-on one more in the 82nd off a score from Mikula, providing the Ducks with more than enough goals to close out the victory.

Tomorrow's final is set for 1:30 p.m. in Ithaca.
