Fisher Ranked Ninth In National Poll
The St. John Fisher College men's golf program will enter 2016 ranked No. 9 in the
Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. The Cardinals wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule on a high note, winning three of its five tournaments.
The Cardinals won the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship for the 10th straight year and also won the Flower City Preview, a tournament that featured five of the nation's top-10 programs, including the defending national champions.
Fisher is also in first place by nine strokes after the first two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Championship. The Cardinals will look to capture their sixth straight Empire 8 title in the spring with the final two rounds of the championship being played in April. The winning team will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship in May. Fisher will host the national championship at Midvale Country Club and Mendon Golf Club.
Fisher will return to action in March at the Jekyll Island Invitational.
