ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) lent its hands to a good cause recently as several student-athletes volunteered at South Hill Elementary School where they worked alongside faculty and staff to enrich the lives of local children.

Ithaca student-athletes were paired with groups of children and participated in a series of six activities designed to promote leadership, teamwork and problem-solving before coming together to end the day with a game of capture the flag.

SAAC, which is comprised of members of various Ithaca College athletic teams, is dedicated to making a difference in the surrounding community through charitable endeavors.  This year alone, SAAC has participated in several national fundraising campaigns including Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and the Pull for the House campaign through the Ronald McDonald House.
