2015 NSCAA All-East Region

Kansas City, MO --
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced on December 3, that six members of the Empire 8 men's soccer teams have been named All-Region.

FIRST TEAM
Colin Phillps (Stevens) led the Ducks this fall with 35 points off 14 goals and seven assists, culminating with the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year award last month. Phillip also led the team with 44 shots on goal and five game-winning goals, while playing the fourth-most minutes on the team.

Carson Pryor (Stevens) finished just behind Phillips with 34 points, including a team-leading 16 goals off 86 shots. Pryor scored two of the four Stevens goals during the E8 championship, leading to his nod as the championship's most valuable player.

SECOND TEAM
Harrison Kane (Stevens) anchored a Stevens defense that led the E8 this season in goals against average, while also contributing to the attack with one goal and three assists. Kane made 19 starts, and finished top-10 on the team in minutes played.

THIRD TEAM
Richard Lander (Alfred) is a three-time Empire 8 Conference all-star, having earned Second Team honors as a freshman and sophomore and First Team recognition this year. He finished the 2015 season leading the Saxons in goals (11), assists (nine) and points (31). The NSCAA honor comes on the heels of Lander earning national recognition for his academic accomplishments. Last week, he was named a College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Second Team Academic All-American.

Michael Bryant (Elmira), who was honored earlier this season by being named to the Empire 8 Conference First Team, pieced together a truly special season in 2015. He finished the year with a career-high 39 points on a career-best 18 goals and three assists. The bulk of Bryant's scoring took place during the heart of the season, one that saw the West Coast striker score in eight consecutive games, the longest such streak of his two-year Elmira career. Bryant's numbers ranked amongst the best in the country, as his goals per game average of 1.06, total goals (18), and points per game average (2.29) ranked fifth, 11th, and 16th in NCAA Division III Men's Soccer, respectively.

Jesse Toth (Houghton) was a first team All-Conference selection and established himself as a premier defender within the E8, before an injury capped his season in the 12th game.  Toth made 11 starts in the 12 games he played and scored one goal and added an assist.
