ITHACA MEN’S TRACK & FIELD HOSTS INVITATIONAL
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's indoor track & field team hosted the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday at the Glazer Arena. Three student-athletes qualified for ECAC's and numerous Bombers posted season and personal-best marks.
Junior
Andrew Brandt notched Ithaca's best finish at the meet coming in first overall in the high jump. Brandt cleared 1.98 meters to qualify for ECACs.
Seniors
Rashaad Barrett and
Mason Mann both placed second in their respective events and met ECAC-qualifying standards. Barrett ran the 60-meter dash in 7.01 seconds, while Mann clocked a time of 1:07.47 in the 500-meter run.

John Fausold and senior
Dennis Ryan in a time of 3:30.48.
Junior
Aaron Matthias and sophomore
Chris Gutierrez were also second place finishers in the 200-meter dash and mile. Matthias finished the 200 in 22.89 seconds, while Gutierrez completed the mile in 4:32.11.
Ryan participated in the 800-meter run and placed third with a time of 1:57.71, while sophomore
Andrew Ward took third in the high jump with a cleared height of 1.83 meters.
Matthias and Barrett were fourth place performers in the 60 and 200. Matthias ran the 60 in 7.18 seconds (7.12 in prelims), while Barrett clocked the 200 in 23.11 seconds. Barrett also entered the long jump and placed fifth with a mark of 6.44 meters.

Zane Shephard posted a time of 3:35.22 in the 4x400 relay to come in fourth.
Another fourth place finisher for Ithaca was freshman
Dylan Bland in the pole vault with a mark of 4.20 meters.
Four Bombers placed fifth in their events. Junior
Jordan Smith competed in the 400-meter dash and finished in 51.96 seconds, fellow junior
Stephen Gomez completed in the mile in 4:33.98, sophomore
Sean Phillips ran the 3,000-meter in 9:12.37, and sophomore
Colton Freeman measured 12.14 meters in the triple jump.
Ward came in sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 seconds, while freshman
Cam Denmarkalso placed sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.97 meters. Junior
Dane Eckweiler was another sixth place finisher in the 500 with a time of 1:09.56.
Munoz came in seventh in the 400 with a time of 52.12 seconds. Freshman

Gabe Shakour with a mark of 12.84 meters in the weight throw and freshman
Kevin Pomer in the high jump at 1.73 meters.
Ithaca competes again next Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Empire 8 Conference Championships hosted by Houghton. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 7, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams compiled multiple top-10 finishes Saturday at Ramapo College Indoor Select.
The one day event at the N.Y.C. Armory featured over 20 teams competing from Division II and III institutions. The men took home 14
th place and the women finished 11
th.
Junior Katie Moyer, freshman Samantha Rokicsak, sophomore Kaela Earrusso, and junior Amy Regan placed fourth in the women’s distance medley, and qualified for ECACs after clocking a time of 12:33.73, while senior Christine Hecker finished in the top-10 in the 3,000 meter run.
Junior Gladys Njoku took first in the high jump after clearing 1.80, tying for the fourth best jump all-time in DIII and setting a new school record. Elsewhere In the field, senior Amira Dardir took 10
th in the long jump before sophomore Victoria Taibe took fourth in the weight throw.
For the men, senior Thomas Cunningham and junior Zach McKeehan took eighth and ninth place respectively in the mile run, while junior Shane Chiaravalle finished 10
th in the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Nicholas Zickgraf ran a personal best 1:57 in the 800, and took first in his heat.
Senior Cory Zegel highlighted the men’s efforts in the field with a sixth place finish in the weight throw.
Both the men and women will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Houghton College for the Empire 8 Conference Championships.
BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Several athletes from Nazareth's men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Brockport Mid-Season Classic on Saturday. Junior Luis Rivera won the weight throw with a school-record mark of 17.69 meters (58 ft., 1/2 in.), and classmate
Taylor Pierson won the women's long jump with a mark of 5.56 meters (18 ft., 2 3/4 in.). Additional track and field athletes are also representing Nazareth at the Ramapo Select meet Saturday evening.
In the men's meet at Brockport, Nazareth finished ninth with 23 points. Brockport took first with 140.5 points, followed by Hamilton with 84 points and Fredonia with 75 points.
Junior Khiary Gayle was second in the triple jumpr with a mark of 13.3 meters (43 ft., 7 3/4 in.), and classmate Brandon Vuolo was sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.59 meters (44 ft., 7 in.). The men's 4x400 relay of Martin Dearaway, Kristopher Newell, Patrick Neureuter, and Kevin Witt was seventh with a time of 3:46.45.
In the women's meet at Brockport, the Golden Flyers were 12th as they tallied 18 points. Brockport was first with 168.5 points. Fredonia and Roberts Wesleyan were second and third with 78 and 60 points, respectively.
Senior
Kate Durr was sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.48 meters (4 ft., 10 1/4 in.), and junior
Amanda Entress was eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.28 meters (33 ft., 8 3/4 in.). The Golden Flyers' 4x200 team placed fifth on the track.
Sibongile Chisi teamed with
Alex Walker, Entress, and
Sarah Williams to finish in 1:53.58.
At Ramapo, senior
Hannah Brackley set the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of :57.86, which placed her fourth overall. Brackley was 15th in the 200 event with a time of :26.62. Senior
Michaela Gildemeyer was sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.32, and Kimberly Lovett finished 16th with a time of 2:28.16.
Junior Tom Sippie was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of :48.71, which beat the 2008 school record. Freshman Nick LaBarbera crossed the line in seventh with a time of :50.45. Matt Battaglia's time of 1:58.99 placed him 13th in the 800-meter run.
BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The St. John Fisher College men's track and field team built upon its success throughout the indoor season at the Brockport Mid-Season Classic Invite on Saturday. The Cardinals placed fourth with 72 points.
The 4x200 relay team of
Devin Cornelius,
Trevor Wilkes,
Eric Riley and
Joe D'Agostino finished in third place with an ECAC-qualifying time of 1:31.75.
In the distance medley relay,
Evan Magnussen,
Peter Girardi,
Luke Dunkelberg and
James Felice worked together to take second place, finishing in 10:51.21.
Mark VanMarter and
Eric Riley highlighted the field events. Vanmarter won the long jump event with 7.13 meters, the third-best jump in the country. Riley also won, but in the high jump with a 1.93-meter leap. Riley also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.32 seconds.
Other key performances included Girardi took second in the 60 hurdles to record the team's season-best time of 8.61 seconds, while teammate
Chris Wehner placed fourth in 8.68 seconds.
Brandon Fuentes placed third in the 60 dash in 7.36 seconds.
Fisher returns to action on Saturday in the Empire 8 Championship hosted by Houghton College.
