Hughes made it a 10-8 game thanks to an assist from freshman midfielder Julianna Ricci, and freshman attack Cami Santor tallied unassisted with 15:37 remaining to close the spurt.

FDU fought back within two at the 9:17 mark, but two Hughes goals closed the scoring and sealed Stevens' first road win of the season.

The Ducks went on top 3-0 early thanks to a pair of Wilcox tallies and one from Hughes. FDU fought back within one, but Wilcox from sophomore Caroline DeLuca and Hughes from Kalbian put the guests back on top 5-2. The see-saw first continued with FDU outscoring Stevens 4-2 over the final 11:34 of the period to get within one at halftime. Wilcox scored another thanks to an assist from senior attack Andrea Dragoni, and Dragoni fed Hughes for her third goal of the first.
