ST. JOHN FISHER 9, D'Youville 0
The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team earned its second win of the season on Sunday, as the Cardinals coasted to a 9-0 win over host D'Youville College on Sunday.    Playing in its first match since returning from Hilton Head, S.C., last week, the Cardinals won every single set.

Jacob Zarzycki and Pat McGrath won all eight games at first doubles, while Kevin Kulawiec and Adam Moran earned a point with an 8-2 victory at second doubles.

Kaelan Castetter and Dan Tedesco won 8-4 at third doubles.

In singles action, Kulawiec won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, while McGrath prevailed 6-0, 6-1 at second singles.   Zarzycki (third singles), Moran (fourth singles) and Castetter (fifth singles) also picked up points, as did Vichaka Khoy, who won 6-3, 6-0 at sixth singles.


STEVENS 5, Brandeis 3
The No. 29 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team overcame a doubles deficit Sunday to knock-off No. 33 Brandeis University 5-3 in Vermont.
 
The win moves Stevens to 4-3 while Brandeis fell to 2-5.
 
The Ducks jumped out to a quick lead with freshman Kyle Henry and sophomore Tyler Tisdale's 8-3 win at third doubles. Brandeis was able to recover however, evening the match at No. 2 over freshman Danny Polk and sophomore Michael Feldman while simultaneously taking the 8-4 win at No. 1 over juniors Matthew Heinrich and Ben Foran.
 
Brandeis bounced-back with a quick 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 before Feldman evened the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3. Heinrich grabbed the lead with a win at No. 1 before Drake continued the momentum after overcoming a first set loss in a 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4.
 
Needing a win to clinch, Polk finished off Danny Lubarsky at No. 5 in a 6-3, 6-3 win. The win was the fourth in a row at singles for Polk.
 
With Heinrich's singles win, the junior All-American tied assistant coach Arik Zeevy with 68 wins all-time at singles.
 
The Ducks will now head south to Florida on Wednesday for the first of two matches against Florida Institute of Technology and No. 22 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

ALFRED 8, Pitt-Bradford 1
The Alfred University men's tennis team opened its 2015 spring season Sunday with an 8-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford, in matches played at the indoor courts in Olean.

AU won all six singles matches. Junior Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) won first singles, 6-0, 6-0; sophomore Evan Haskins (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville South) won second singles, 6-1, 6-1; senior Michael Graham (Elmira, NY/Southside) took third singles, 6-0, 6-0; juniorKevin Volz Olean, NY/Olean) took fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0; junior Matt Baloga (Goshen, NY/Goshen) claimed fifth singles, 6-0, 6-0; and sophomore Patrick Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) won six singles by forfeit.

Brown and Volz won second doubles, 8-0, and AU took third doubles by forfeit.
