Haas Leads Fisher At Jekyll Island Invitational

SUNDAY
The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf team shot a 298 on Sunday – its lowest round over three days at the Jekyll Island Invitational – and placed 18
th overall out of 30 teams.
The Cardinals, ranked 19
th nationally, finished with a three-day total of 910 (302-310-298) +46, while competing against several of the nation's top teams.
Junior
Corey Haas remained hot for the Cardinals and shot a 68 (-4) on Sunday. Haas finished the tournament fourth overall at three-under-par (71-74-68).
Senior
Chris Blyth was in the red on Sunday, posting a 71 (-1), while Karl Dueble shot a 73 (+1). Both
Devin Solar and
Ian Campbell shot 86 (+14).
SATURDAY
The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf team dropped 10 spots to 19
th place on Saturday in the second day of the Jekyll Island Invitational.
Fisher, ranked 19
th nationally, carded a 310 and sits in 19
th place out of 30 of the nation's top teams going into Sunday's final round.
Corey Haas remains in the top 10 in individual scoring after posting a 74 (+2), thanks to four birdies over the final six holes.
Teammates
Chris Blyth and
Karl Deuble each shot +3 (75), while
Ian Campbell and
Devin Solar both shot 86 (+14). The lowest four individuals scores of the five competing count towards the team-score.
FRIDAY
The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's golf team shot a 302 on Friday in the first of three rounds of the Jekyll Island Invitational, in Jekyll Island, Ga.
Playing the 6,711-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course, the No. 19 Cardinals are currently tied for 11th place out of 30 teams, including several nationally-ranked programs.
Junior
Corey Haas led the way for Fisher, dropping in five birdies and finishing at 71 (-1) for the day. He is tied for sixth overall in individual scoring.
Karl Deuble finished at +4, while senior
Chris Blyth posted a 77 (+5).
Devin Solar rounded out the scoring for Fisher with a 78 (+6).
