Day Two of NCAA Championships
Day two of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Conroe Natatorium is complete.
In the first race of her first appearance at the national swimming and diving championships, Stevens freshman Sarah Jurcyzk turned in an honorable mention All-America performance.
The first-year Duck took part in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking a 56.33 in the prelims to reach the consolation finals. In the NCAA Championships, the top eight placements reach the finals and earn All-America honors, while places nine through 16 are honorable mention All-America distinction.
In the finals, Jurczyk came back to touch at 56.67. The rookie finished 16th overall and picked up the first team point of the meet for the Ducks.
Stevens sophomore Danielle Caruspo had a strong performance in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking a 1:52.54 and placing 24th.
Nazareth's
Cameron Hess placed 41st in the 200-yard freestyle. Hess was clocked in 1:57.54, a few ticks slower than her seeded time of 1:56.85, as she competed in her second of three events this week.
Hartwick junior Imma Rutigliano competed in individual events at the championships Thursday. Rutigliano finished 23
rd in the women's 400 individual medley. Her prelim time was 4:34.85. Detar placed 45
th in the men's 100 butterfly with a time of 51.14. He now ranks fourth all-time at 'Wick in the event.

Kaitlyn Campbell also swam in a pair of relays. They combined for 19
th in the 400 medley relay (4:04.78). They also secured 27
th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.74).
