Geyer Wins National Title in 200 Breaststroke

On the fourth and final day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, Stevens Institute of Technology senior Brittany Geyer won her second national title in as many days as she claimed the 200-yard breaststroke.
Geyer clocked a career-best time of 2:14.66 which was a full second better than the runner up to win the third national title of her career. The Stevens veteran won the 200-yard breaststroke national title in 2012 and and claimed the 100-yard breaststroke last night.
Stevens sophomore standout
Danielle Caruso competed in the 100-yard freestyle, taking 46th after carding a 52.66. That finish was .22 better than her seed time of 52.88.
Nazareth sophomore
Cameron Hess placed 21st overall in the 1,650-yard freestyle. She touched the wall Saturday with a time of 17:28.85.
Hartwick junior Imma Rutigliano, seniors Kaitlyn Campbell, Gwen Mathias and sophmore Rachel Bellis swam in their fifth and final race at nationals. They competed in the 400 freestyle relay and finished 25
thwith a time of 3:34.45, good enough for third all-time at 'Wick.
