Stevens Falls To No. 27 Wisconsin-Whitewater

ORLANDO, Fla. (March
21, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team closed out its spring break trip Saturday with a 9-0 loss to No. 27 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
 
The loss dropped Stevens to 11-4 overall while Wisconsin Whitewater moved to 13-0.
 
Wisconsin-Whitewater jumped out to a 3-0 edge after a sweep at doubles. Senior Jessica Bourque and junior Alexis Connor put together a solid match at No. 1 before falling 8-4 while junior Julia Guignard and sophomore Allie Masciana fell at No. 3, 8-3.
 
The nationally ranked Warhawks continued their wining in singles with Megan Humphrey's 6-1, 6-0 win over Bourque, and a win at No. 2 over senior Danielle Stewart. Guignard put together the Ducks best scoring effort with a 6-2, 6-2 loss at No. 3 while freshman Katrina Guido fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5.
 
The Ducks will continue their spring slate April 1 with a home match against New York University.
